Historic significance
Why Historic Preservation Matters
Historic buildings, cemeteries, parks, and landmarks help tell the story of Mantua Township and the people who built our community. Preserving these resources is about more than maintaining old structures. It is about protecting our local history, honoring past generations, and ensuring that future residents can appreciate the heritage and character that make Mantua Township unique.
As a Township Trustee, I believe we have a responsibility to be good stewards of our community's historic assets. Through preservation, maintenance, and thoughtful planning, we can protect important landmarks while keeping them useful and relevant for future generations. Historic preservation helps strengthen community identity, fosters civic pride, and ensures that the history of Mantua Township remains visible and accessible for years to come.
